How It Works
The journey to recognition.
Nomination
Individuals are nominated across selected categories, recognizing excellence and impact within the African diaspora.
Review & Shortlisting
All nominations are carefully reviewed by the GAI team through a structured evaluation process focused on impact, influence, and contribution. A select group of finalists is then shortlisted.
Public Voting
Finalists are then opened to a public voting process, allowing the community to participate in recognizing outstanding individuals.
Final Recognition
Winners are officially announced and honored at the Global African Impact Awards.
Note: Select honors, including the Humanitarian Award, are awarded independently and do not follow the public nomination and voting process.

Humanitarian Award
Our most prestigious honor, the Humanitarian Award recognizes an individual whose impact extends beyond their industry, someone who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to community, philanthropy, and global change across the African diaspora. Unlike other categories, this award does not go through the public nomination or voting process. The recipient is carefully selected and announced in advance of the awards ceremony.
