The evolution

What began as a regional awards initiative has grown into the Global African Impact Awards—a platform with a wider name, a bolder vision and a deeply connected purpose.
Across four previous editions, the awards created space for achievement to be seen, celebrated and remembered. The transition to GAI builds on that foundation while opening the stage to leaders, innovators, creatives and changemakers across Africa and the global diaspora.
The name has evolved. The commitment remains: honor impact with intention and bring people together through recognition, culture and meaningful connection.
